How to Sell on FirstCry: Supplier & Business Tie-Up Guide (2026)

FirstCry is India's largest baby, kids and maternity retailer, and it's a common "can I sell here" question for D2C baby-product brands. The honest answer takes a bit of unpacking: there's no Amazon-style self-serve seller signup, and FirstCry's core relationship with brands is different from a typical marketplace.

FirstCry Is Mostly a Wholesale Buyer, Not a Marketplace

For most categories, FirstCry buys inventory directly from brands and suppliers and sells it as its own retail stock — a wholesale (1P) relationship, not a third-party marketplace listing you control yourself. FirstCry does run a smaller third-party (3P) marketplace for select categories, but if you're picturing an Amazon Seller Central-style dashboard where you list, price and manage your own inventory, that's not the dominant model here. This matters because it changes how you should approach FirstCry: as a supplier pitching a wholesale relationship, not as a seller registering an account.

How to Actually Contact FirstCry

FirstCry's own live site (confirmed 22 September 2026) has a "Sell With Us" link in the My Account menu, which routes to a business/supplier tie-up inquiry — not a self-serve registration form. If that link isn't visible, FirstCry's general Contact Us page is the fallback route. From there, FirstCry's team follows up if your brand fits what they're sourcing.

What to Prepare Before You Reach Out

FirstCry doesn't publish a document checklist publicly, so treat the following as sensible preparation rather than a confirmed FirstCry requirement:

  1. A GSTIN — see our GST registration guide if you don't have one.
  2. PAN card and business registration details.
  3. Product catalogue and pricing ready to present as a wholesale supplier, not a per-order marketplace listing — FirstCry's team will likely ask about volume and margin as a buyer would, not a commission percentage as a marketplace would.
  4. Brand credentials — trademark or manufacturing documentation, if you have it, strengthens a supplier pitch.

Why This Differs From a Standard Marketplace Pitch

Because FirstCry buys wholesale for most categories, the conversation you're preparing for is different from a marketplace seller application. A marketplace asks about your GSTIN, catalogue and category fit, then approves or rejects a listing. A wholesale buyer conversation is about unit economics at volume — what FirstCry pays you per unit, your minimum order quantities, and whether your margins work at wholesale pricing rather than retail. Presenting FirstCry with a marketplace-style pitch (commission percentage, per-order listing) is likely to be a mismatch for how their team actually evaluates suppliers.

Getting Started

If you don't have a GSTIN yet, get that in place first — see our GST registration guide. Once you've reached out via "Sell With Us," treat the follow-up as a business development conversation, not an account-approval process — FirstCry's team will tell you whether they're buying in your category and what volume/pricing makes sense. If FirstCry isn't the right fit or doesn't respond, the general baby/kids category also sells on Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra for apparel. Use the Marketplace Profit Calculator to compare what a marketplace commission structure nets you against a wholesale unit price, once you have real numbers from either route.
