How to Sell on JioMart: Seller Registration Guide (2026)

How to Sell on JioMart in 2026

Last verified against JioMart's seller-support pages on 22 September 2026. JioMart's actual registration flow sits behind a login-gated seller portal, so this guide covers what's confirmed publicly rather than a screen-by-screen walkthrough — treat any commission percentage you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until your own rate card shows it.

JioMart is Reliance Retail's grocery and general-merchandise marketplace, and it's one of the more heavily searched "become a seller" queries among Indian e-commerce guides — but its own public pages are thinner on process detail than Flipkart's or Amazon's. Here's what we could actually confirm, and where the gaps are.

How to Start

JioMart's seller-support page states plainly: "If you are not registered with Jiomart, please write to us at seller.onboarding@jiomart.com." That's the confirmed starting point. A registration portal exists at seller.jiomart.com, but it sits behind a single sign-on login flow, so the actual on-screen registration steps aren't publicly readable without an account.

Documents You'll Likely Need

JioMart doesn't publish a document checklist on a public page. Based on how comparable marketplaces onboard sellers, expect to need:

  1. A GSTIN — see our GST registration guide if you don't have one.
  2. PAN card.
  3. Bank account details (often a cancelled cheque) for payouts.
  4. Business and warehouse address proof.

Confirm the exact list when JioMart's onboarding team responds to your application — don't assume this list is complete or final.

Commission and Fees — Why We Aren't Quoting a Number

Search for "JioMart commission" and you'll find several seller-service blogs quoting figures like 1-15% by category, with grocery around 3-6% and electronics 5-10%, plus a flat per-item fee of roughly ₹15-30. None of these are sourced from an official JioMart document — every guide we checked cites another guide, not a JioMart rate card. JioMart's own public pages don't publish a commission table.

That doesn't mean the figures are wrong, only that we can't confirm them, and neither should you until your own seller dashboard shows a rate card. If a third party — including another content site — states a specific JioMart commission percentage as fact, ask where they read it.

JioMart vs Flipkart, Amazon and Meesho

JioMart's advantage over the bigger horizontal marketplaces is Reliance's retail and logistics reach, particularly for grocery, FMCG and household categories where its own retail footprint gives it fast-moving demand. It's less established than Flipkart or Amazon for general categories like electronics or fashion, and the seller-facing tooling and documentation are noticeably less mature than either — you'll find more third-party guides trying to fill that gap than official ones. If your catalogue is grocery-adjacent or FMCG, it's worth adding alongside Flipkart or Amazon rather than as a first or only marketplace, given how much of the onboarding process still runs through direct email contact rather than self-serve signup.

Getting Started

Email seller.onboarding@jiomart.com to begin, and have your GSTIN ready first if you don't already have one — see our GST registration guide. Once you're registered and can see your actual rate card, use the Marketplace Profit Calculator to compare your real JioMart margin against other platforms you sell on, and the GST Due Dates Calendar to keep filings on track.
