How to interpret your result

Your net payout is Meesho's selling price minus commission and 18% GST on that commission — there's no separate shipping-fee GST line (Meesho bears shipping cost itself) and a 0.5% GST TCS line, the same as on Amazon and Flipkart (a credit you get back through the GST portal, not a cost).

That doesn't mean Meesho is automatically your most profitable channel — its per-order economics differ enough from Amazon/Flipkart that a low headline commission can still net out similarly once you account for lower average selling prices. GST registration remains mandatory regardless of turnover once you sell through any marketplace, Meesho included.

Compare your actual take-home across all three platforms with the Marketplace Profit Calculator before deciding where a specific SKU is most worth listing.

What this calculator shows

Enter your selling price, category, and product cost to see exactly how much Meesho deducts before you get paid — commission and 18% GST on that commission — plus your resulting profit margin. Meesho bears shipping cost itself, so there's no separate shipping deduction for most sellers.

GST on Meesho commission

Meesho charges 18% GST on the commission fee it deducts, billed the same way Amazon and Flipkart bill GST on their fees. This GST is generally ITC-eligible against your output tax liability, provided the invoice appears in your GSTR-2B — see our GSTR-2A vs GSTR-2B guide for the reconciliation mechanics.

TCS on Meesho

Like Amazon and Flipkart, Meesho collects 0.5% GST TCS on your net taxable sales and reports it in GSTR-8. It is a credit, not a fee: accept it on the GST portal (TDS and TCS Credit Received) and it lands in your electronic cash ledger. GST registration is also mandatory for all marketplace sellers regardless of turnover.
