These are the days of OTT platforms where audiences can sit and relax on their favourite films at a favourable time. The fascinating part is adapting their favourite books into movies and series. Platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar and so on are gaining a high level of significance due to the subscription of the audiences. Many such subscriptions come from those individuals who are willing to convert their reading-based experience into practicality. Multiple movies beginning from classic Austen to Dickens have been adapted into various versions. Dhannay has been helping customers to get accustomed to various new-genre books through e-commerce sites as a result of which they are able to get fascinated by the AVOD through YouTube, leading to subsequent subscriptions. Some of the newbies and fascinating adaptations of 2022 can be read as follows:

  1. Death on the Nile: Fascinated by Agatha Christie’s crime stories, Kenneth Branagh’s following his 2017 first adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, he has continued to attract audiences through the release of a whodunnit anthology, Death on the Nile, starring Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Letitia wright and Russel Brand. The movie circles around Hercule Poirot’s investigation of the crime while on a vacation.

  2. Mrs Harris Goes to Paris: Based on the 1958 novel Mrs Arris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico and following a 1992 movie adaptation of the same, this came as another surprise. Starring Lesley Manville as the protagonist Mrs Harris, it revolves around the story of a widowed Lady in London in the 1950s who becomes obsessed with a Dress and goes to Paris with a plan to have one for her own. Being a Comedy Drama, it keeps the audience hooked to the screen.

  3. Bullet Train: An American action and comedy thriller, the movie is based upon a Japanese novel of 2010 by Kotaro Isaka. It is about a fast-moving bullet train where five assassins realise that their assignments are connected. Starring Brad Pitt who seems to be returning to the action genre after some time off, it also casts Zazie Beetz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King and so on.

  4. Salem’s Lot: Based on a horror story of the same name by Stephen King, the story revolves around a writer whose visit to a town only leads him to witness the residents turning into vampires. Directed by Gary Dauberman and starring Lewis Pullman, William Sadler, Spenser Treat Clark, this adaptation is a treat to the eyes and becomes a must-watch being very close to the book.

  5. Firekeeper’s Daughter: Based on the book of the same name by Angeline Boulley, it takes place on the Michigan side of Sault Ste. It tells the story of a half-white and half-native 18-year-old girl who gets involved in a police investigation due to the drug trade in her community.

  6. Mandaar: A psychological Bengali thriller, is a series adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Staring Anirban Bhattacharya, Sohini Sarkar, Debashish Mondal and so on. It clearly depicts the lust for power, greed and the human battle which reaches its peak making it a tragic tale of lust and greed.

Conclusion

All the adaptations achieve successful viewers only when the audiences are truly familiar with the basics of the text. Such texts are made popular through the e-commerce platforms where Dhannay helps the retailers to curate a favourable list for book lovers and help the retailers to flourish their business. They are allowed to have one-to-one interaction with the professionals leading to a clear knowledge of the business.

Dhannay provides enough support for the ones who wish to expand their business while taking care of their financial aspects in the business area.
