In 2006, she reached the Mrs India finalist, which taught her the importance of jewellery in the fashion industry and how it could work wonders to enhance the look of a person.
In 2014, she plunged into her own business with the establishment of Rubans, one of the most sought-after jewellery brands.

Chinu's success in her entrepreneurial endeavours was largely attributed to her dynamic thoughts and keeping pace with the changing designs in the market. She quickly understood the variety of customers' tastes, which enabled Rubans to shift into an online business. This move enhanced the company's sales, as a large variety of designs were laid open to the customers for them to make their own choices.
